Drinqly is a social drink journal app. You check in each drink you have, alcohol or not, rate it, add a photo and a few notes, and Drinqly keeps a searchable history of everything you have tried, plus a feed of what your friends are drinking and a way to discover new places. It keeps a record of what you drank. It never sells or delivers anything.

From a single night out, it may be the drink itself (but more often than not you remember the name OR the taste of it, but not both), you remember everything about that night or how amazing of a vacation it was, or you remember the corny side joke your best friend made. But it's rare you remember ALL of those details together. While you're out, you tell yourself to live in the moment, while also wanting to document it so you can look back years later. This was me every single time I was out with friends and family, so I started just taking a photo of every drink I had. Something that I knew the moment I looked back at the photo I'd think, "aww, remember that tiki lounge in Disney World we went to six years ago!" This is the whole premise of why Drinqly exists. Every drink and memory photo stored together so you can always look back and remember why that espresso martini was such an amazing night.
What Drinqly actually does
The whole thing is a check-in loop. You have a drink, you log it, it joins a history you can search, sort, and scroll back through. That's the engine. Here's what a single check-in captures.
Log enough of these and the history quietly becomes a portrait of your own taste. It surfaces your top styles, the producers you keep coming back to, and the ones worth ordering again. You stop guessing what you like. You've got the receipts.
Alcohol or sober, your choice
There are two modes in the same app. The alcohol experience is built for wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits. The sober experience is built for coffee, tea, matcha, boba, smoothies, kombucha, and mocktails, with its own fields and its own feed. Use one, use the other, flip between them on a whim. Nothing about the journal assumes there's alcohol in your glass, which is the part most drink apps quietly get wrong. A Tuesday matcha counts here. So does the Manhattan on Friday.
People who want to remember what they drink
No sommelier certificate required. If you've ever stood in a wine aisle trying to recall the name of that one great cocktail from six weeks ago, you're the target reader. In practice, that tends to be:
- The curious drinker building a palate one glass at a time.
- The person who wants their wine, whiskey, and morning coffee in one place instead of four apps and a notes file.
- The sober or sober-curious drinker who wants a journal that takes a mocktail as seriously as a Manhattan.

Drizly, Vivino, Untappd, and the name mixups
The name lands in the middle of a few better-known ones, so let me clear the collisions up plainly.
Drizly was an alcohol-delivery and e-commerce service; you tapped, paid, and a courier brought bottles to your door. Drinqly is a journal. It never touches a transaction, ships nothing, and has no cart. It just remembers what you drank.
Vivino and Untappd each own one category, wine for the former and beer for the latter, and both are excellent inside their lane. Drinqly works across every category at once, so a Barolo, a Negroni, and a flat white sit on the same timeline. If you only ever drink one thing, the specialists go deeper. Most of us don't.
One more. Drinqly doesn't teach you to build a cocktail the way a recipe app would. It keeps track of the ones you actually had.

It's free. Logging drinks, adding photos, rating, following friends, and browsing venues all cost nothing, with no cap on how much you log. There's an optional subscription, Plus, that unlocks deeper personal analytics and a couple of extra leaderboards, and I built the free tier to stand on its own without it.
